Cello teaching excellence
The journey of a cello teacher is a fascinating process in which the teacher and the students are continuously transformed in their strive towards excellence. For more than two decades now, I have been privileged to teach cellists, ranging from beginners (starting from the age of 4 years) through to graduate university students who are embarking on professional careers as performers and cello teachers. Apart from teaching students from various backgrounds and levels of development, I was granted the opportunity through my doctoral and post-doctoral research, to specialize in teaching gifted young cellists. My passion to find the best possible teaching methods to develop each cellist´s unique talent as optimally as possible, continue to serve as inspiration to share my knowledge with other cello teachers. My goal is to assist and inspire fellow cello teachers, to find methods to enhance the level of cello teaching in order to guide their students more optimally.
When I was starting to teach around two decades ago, I often wished that I could have access to expert advice or just talk to a more experienced teacher about teaching matters or obstacles that I myself, or my students, encountered. Since most of us encounter similar obstacles along the teaching journey, I would like to offer a platform where cello teachers may have a safe, professional environment where matters can be discussed, methods explained and developed and confidence be gained to transform cello teaching and to serve and guide our students at the highest possible level on their journey towards excellence.
Therefore, I would like to offer the following:
Individual one-to-one sessions
- you choose the duration (30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes)
- you decide the topic/content (what you would like to discuss or what advice you need).
If you need specific advice with a student, your student is also welcome to participate.
- courses consisting of several individual sessions with a specific topic, will also be presented. These sessions can be taken online or in person in Vienna, Austria.
